When I look at the woods, I don’t see trees and stones and squirrels. I see an inside-out me. Everything that lives in me is reproduced in the natural world over and over. Large or small, together or apart, it’s all the same.

Sanctuary and Farm

I use the term Farmer loosely. Plants do like to wander and hang out wherever they want. Unlike a farmer, I'm ok with that. I kind of like it. I'm even okay with them hanging out with the local kids, which means I'm not really a gardener either. I make some decisions, mostly as a matter of convenience. I tend.

We are all connected. I see no sense in monocropping and believe it to be the first step down the wrong path trying to control a living environment you are intricately connected to. Organic or not, monocropping is the exact opposite of a plant's natural environment and will result in inferior product.

The simple understanding and humble acceptance that we are a small part of a long and vast chain of life reveals our role is to tend that fire not attempt to control it or put it out.

This is how we farm.
